Our vision for establishing a music ministry is to nurture a dynamic atmosphere that reflects the rich tapestry of musical preferences in our community.
We desire to connect individuals of all ages and backgrounds by embracing an extensive array of styles, ranging from orchestral and symphonic pieces to wind ensembles, contemporary genres, and choral arrangements.
By promoting collaboration among musicians—including vocalists—we aim to create enriching experiences that inspire worship, foster fellowship, and deepen relationships within our community. Through performances, workshops, outreach initiatives, and choir participation, we hope to not only elevate spirits with beautiful melodies but also invite everyone to engage actively in discovering their unique voice as part of this collective journey of faith and expression.

About the Director
Jennifer Stansel is a passionate and dedicated music director whose vibrant energy is contagious. With her degree from Florida State University’s College of Music, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role.
Jennifer's proficiency on the flute, coupled with her love for singing and songwriting, allows her to connect deeply with both musicians and congregants alike. As she embarks on the journey of building a musical community at Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Carterville, Jennifer envisions a space where individuals can come together to explore their creativity while deepening their faith.
Her commitment to inspiring joy and peace through music reflects her belief that it serves as a powerful medium for worship and connection. Through workshops, performances, and collaborative projects, Jennifer aims to cultivate an environment where everyone feels welcomed and encouraged to express themselves musically while growing in their relationship with Christ.
